One can never fully and completely trust an eraser, especially if you're not really a dog person... more of a cat person even if I'm a bird...
"Why would I? You've admitted to being what you are, you're telling me you're blind... kind of odd that you would see a movie, so i guess you're not completely blind... and if nothing else i'm not running again... not yet at least..." Night moved a foot closer wondering how blind he really is or if it was a lie...

Nathan rolled his eyes once again. He rather liked the motion, it made him feel like he really could see. If you've ever rolled your eyes while they were closed, you'd understand. "My friends and I make bets on flirting with girls. Typically, it doesn't end up with a bird-kid," he said simply, a smirk playing on his features. He heard her move forward, and raised an eyebrow at her. It was really curious, seeing as he did have scars on his face over his eyes, but maybe she hadn't noticed them yet... "And because vision is the main source of information for your brain, with mine being gone, all my other senses are heightened," he shrugged, as if this were no big deal. Which, for him, it wasn't. But he would give a lot to be able to see once again...

Night smiled and chuckled at the comment on the bets that don't typically end with birds. "You know you haven't said you're name but," she took another step forward, her face grew another tint darker, and she placed a gentle finger tip on his chest and moved it down just above his navel (belly button). "You have been saying things that most erasers probably wouldn't even give a bird a chance to live in the time you've been talking and stalling with the name..." She moved another step closer not moving her finger but placing the other finger tips on his abs, as if to keep her from getting closer; a guild to how close she could get without getting too close. "Rather than attacking me." She finished as she looked up hoping to at least see eye to blind eye.

Nathan sighed, pushing the Night girl away and taking a step back. "Nathan Whitlock. And believe me, Miss Tenjo," he narrowed his eyes, though a bored expression was still on his face. "Even with all my disadvantages, I will probably be one of your more difficult battles, should you come against me," he said lazily, turning and taking a few steps away before stopping and turning to look over his shoulder. "So, it's your choice, would you try to use that advantage?"

Night put her hand to her mouth trying to stiffle a chuckle... Whitlock was a funny name, whereas Nathan was kind of common. Where did he come up with Matthias?
"If I have the choice, which I do, no... I don't and won't take advantage." She paused walking up and past down the dark hall stopping just a few feet ahead. "But I don't underestimate either. And if we meet again, which I actually think might be facinating and entertaining, I hope like this, it won't really be seen as enemies fighting." She directed a gentle, genuine smile that she rarely had around a complete stranger, no less an eraser; hoping some how he could see or just tell how she looked. "But if any luck and common sense comes to mind as normal yet strange and different people not mutant and mortal enemies, it seems without a seemingly useless war between us freaks of humanity and look beyond looks we could help each other out. So, Mr. Whitlock," She held back a laugh it was a funny name to her. "I guess I'll be on my way, this was interesting and I sincerely hope we can do it again... but without the running, lying, hiding... well maybe nothing like this, but you seem like a good guy outside of the mutation. I should go but if you want I know someone who could help with your eye sight... but I am a bird so it makes sense if you don't trust me and I should leave now before you decide to kill me for rabbling and wasting your time." Night bowed as tradition usually does and headed onward toward the light at the end of the dark hallway wondering how he was going to react to all of this.
He'll stop me if he's interested in: 1, the someone who can help with the eye sight, 2, me, or 3, other.

Nate sighed. He had two choices. Let the bird-kid walk free, or investigate further. She said something about getting his vision back, but he most certainly wouldn't trust someone from the enemy side fix his vision. They could make it so that there would never be a possibility to get it back. But he couldn't just let her walk. If it was true that she knew other bird-kids, then he might be able to weasel information out of her. He didn't much care for the idea, but he needed something, anything, so that the other Eraser didn't think that he was a wimp and would let the best oppurtunities go to waste. She would continue walking, and soon he wouldn't be able to track her just by sound, and he was too busy to really do a true tracking right now.
"Wait, Night," he called, his tone even and convincing. He took a few steps forward, but then stopped, as if uncertain about some- thing. "Something about my eyesight, you say?" he continued, arching a brow at her. He needed to seem interested, even if he wouldn't take up on the deal. He needed to befriend the bird-kid, just so long as he could find the others. With this girl, however, it might not be that hard to find the ones that she knew of, and maybe he'd find the one that he'd been sent after all those years ago. They said she fled north, so he couldn't be sure if she'd come this way, but if he could get help, who cared whose side it came from, it was advice to solve his largest problem.

She stopped with a smirk on her face. Night wiped it off before turning to face the young man. "Yes... I did mention something about your sight. I know someone who could help." Night thought that this may be going a little to well...

Nathan tried to keep from biting his lower lip as Night spoke again, instantly regretting his tactic. His face was clear of this emotion as he nodded. "I would have..." Choose your words carefully, or you might ruin it. "Never thought bird-kids would be able to get ahold of that kind of technology for that kind of surgery," he said cautiously, giving a shrug. And it was true. Since when did bird-kids get ahold of that kind of surgical equipment?

"Wow." Night said as though disappointed. "It's not necessarily 'bird-kids' medical students, genius', so on." She said as a matter of fact correcting the some what offensive term. "But if you want to just think that when I said I knew someone who could help that I automatically meant it was a 'bird-kid' then I highly doubt you would even want my help."

Nathan cursed himself inwardly. He'd have to path this up quickly, or risk losing the chance. "Sorry. I jump to conclusion, Miss Tenjo. I know how hard it can be to make friends with the humans, so I made the assumption that putting that must trust in somebody would be of the same race." His words were smooth, easily flowing off his tongue, and he went over them in his head, making sure none of it made it seem like he was shunning them. He wasn't as good at making converastion as he used to be. But, then again, he used to be able to see how the others reacted also. For all he knew, the girl was laughing at him.

She nodded accepting his apology. "I get it. It makes sense to jump like that. And I do admit she is a bird, but it kind of felt offensive for that conclusion." Night looked at her feet shyly. She felt bad for feeling insulted by the assumption even if it was true, she was talking about herself and a friend of hers even though her friend isn't a bird. "And another thing, could you not call me by my family name or with the prefix miss? I prefer being addressed by my first name, even if it feels informal or casual."

Nathan nodded, a silent sigh escaping his lips. He hadn't even known that he was holding his breath. "I'm sorry about the offense, I'll try not to make that again," he said simply, wishing that he'd be able to tell how she was reacting right now. He was having a hard time telling if the girl was lying or not, and it made him feel temporaily worthless. But he quickly shook it off. As she asked if she could just be called Night and not Miss Tenjo, he nodded. "Of course, Night," he said quickly, a smirk playing on his lips, the grin looking cocky almost, raising his eyebrows at her in a playful boy manner. He knew that it would seem like he was flirting with her, but he really didn't care about it at all.

"Well now that that is all settled let's get out of this dark hallway before we end up getting in trouble for being where we probably shouldn't be." Night said as she offered a hand. She didn't want to return any offense by asking what happened to his eye but being an eraser it wouldn't be too hard to figure. "Um, so what do you do, other that make bets on flirting with girls, in your spare time?"

Nathan nodded, but as he didn't see the hand, he continued easily through the hallways. The slight echo that most could not hear gave him an idea of anything coming closer, such as a wall, so he did not falter in his steps. When Night asked him what he did in his spare time, other than making bets with his friends, and he mearly shrugged. "Hunt bird-kids, play video games, chat, torture. You know, boy things," he spoke with indifference, even though he knew that he probably should have gone a bit easier on the things about the bird-kids. He wasn't trying to scare her off now. "What about you? Anything interesting?"

When her hand wasn't accepted and she saw him start to walk without trouble she followed while trying to answer hisquestion. "Hmmm, work, work, work, become a victim of a bet, become a victim of an eraser, become a victim of my friends will, work, ddr to keep in shape in a fun way, let's see what else...?" Night had become victim to all sorts of things some more than others and others not as much now as before.

As Night talked, Nathan mearly nodded. When she mentioned DDR, he almost laughed outloud, but refrained himself. "Sounds like you need to stand up for your self a bit more," he said non- cholantly, shaking his head as if disappointed. "And DDR? Seriously?" he continued, a smile coming onto his face. He rounded one of the corners, and pushed open one of the doors to go outside, holding it open for Night politely. "I will have to play you sometime, once they invent one for the blind," he said jokingly, shaking his head once more. He'd always thought about trying out DDR without his vision, but he had yet to get on one of the dance pads and try it out. He'd been too busy...
ooc: sorry is Nathan's being blunt and kind of a jerk. I was hanging out with a special friend of mine, and he's like that. XD

Night snickered at that as she followed and walked out the door. "Who says chivalry is dead?" She giggled before thanking Nate. "And about standing up for myself I do but my friend Allison... though she's not an eraser or a bird... she's um, dangerous in a pushy annoying way. If she were to see me with a guy, you, and saw I was enjoying myself... she would suggest and do the worst... she thinks she's a matchmaker... and she can be very scary..." Night held herself hugging her arms to her chest as a shiver went down her spine at the thought of last time.

Nate shook his head at Night's comment, before she continued on about her friend named Allison. A human who could threaten a bird-kid into submission? I'd have to meet her... When Night continued on about what brand of pushy it was, he decided that maybe it wouldn't be the best to meet this Allison girl. "Maybe, some people aren't really your friends. Does she know that you're a bird-kid?" Did the bird-kids in this area share with humans about their abilities? This would be something that many of the other Erasers would probably like to know. It was easy to get mere humans to give you the information that you would need. He let the door fall shut behind him as he continued on his way after his bird-kid "friend". This was a great idea...

When the question of whether Allison knew about Night being mutantly different or not it, though it was an obvious question to expect since she mentioned the human part it still kind of shocked Night to actually be asked. "Eh? Oh, yeah she knows. She wasn't surprised. Her parents used to be in the military and would talk about mutants until they past away as a consequence of having such knowledge. But she expresses her opinion of the fight between mutants to be pointless, I have proof because she takes pride in trying to match me with people reguardless of species... well so long as they were or are part human. Actually she tries to match me up because she knows..." She thinks I can't get a guy on my own!
When she finished Night felt like things were about to get quiet and awkward if she didn't keep the conversation going. "Um, so do you have any friends that know without having the mans-best-friend mutation in common?"

Nathan nodded. Of course people with parents in the military would know of the mutants. But it was too bad that the parents had died. It was always good to see that they weren't all freaks, because there were people who didn't need to be have powers to know about them. Night said that the Allison girl said that the fight between the two types of mutants was pointless, and he couldn't respond to that. They were two different species, and the humans hunted what they didn't understand. When bird-kids escaped, the scientists just wanted them back. It's a war because they thought that they had power, that they could resist going back to the labs. He hunted because he knew what was right, and he wanted to help set everything back to normal.
Nate shook his head. "It's not a war, Night. It's a misconception. I don't kill, because I hunt. I bring back the ones that escape, because I'm told too. Some of them don't know how to fight, some of them have been taken care of so much, if they were out too long, they would die," he closed his eyes, focusing on the air around him, trying to explain the situation in a way that wouldn't make her think that he was pulling her leg. "There are experi- ments, but that's because we need to find out what's going right and what's failing, so that if the world goes to an apocalypse"-- he nodded, refering to the classic myth of 2012--"the scientists could at least save some of the people on earth..."
When Night asked if anybody knew that he was an Eraser that wasn't also mutated, he shook his head. "I haven't told anybody, really. I don't associate with those that I could easily rip to shreds," he said quietly. He'd sometimes lose to his bloodlust, and somebody would get hurt. He didn't tell anybody about it, because he didn't want to lose the friend before he got it. "You probably don't know much of what that's like. People think you guys are miracles, but when they see us," he gave a bitter laugh here, making a scoffing sound. "They call us werewolves and run. People are scared of us, and they want to disect you. At least there are some who can understand, right?" Nathan continued walking, his voice wistful. If only, right?
