^ I'm now taking art class as my elective for school. Since we're still in the beginning process of it so the only things we have learned so far is to keep things in proportion which kind of helped in this pic. My teacher even asked if any of us are able to draw in anime style and I raised my hand and thought to myself "Guilty!". XD
The pic took me about 4 hours to finish while I was out from school on Thursday. (Doctor's appointment about the shingles and my mom was worried that it could be highly contagious.) And I'm trying my best to evolve from just standing around or draw the person's frontside like a portrait to do fighting poses and a variety of expressions. One of my biggest goals is to draw males very accurately since I'm obviously more comfortable with doing females. The pic with Iggy was actually the very first time I really did try drawing a guy and, while it did came out well, I still want to do one in the future that could take a step further from that.
I'm confident that my art class is gunna pay off big time. We're about to learn shading techniques on Tuesday. ^^

www.mangatutorials.com/This site has helped me tremendously with drawing manga/anime and real life. I don't know if you still needed it, but. Yeah. You're a tremendously good drawer, and I'm jealous. Keep up the good work, 'cause you can be fantastic~!

Thanks. I might need the link for a reference or two. The problem with me and tutorials is that I tend to stray away from it and do my own thing in the end. I couldn't follow it completely through, just add a couple tips to what I usually do and it turns out fine. That's how it is with my last few pics. XD

It's pretty much just a bunch of basic tips and pictures of the basic anime stuff. It's helped me a lot, except for when my parents get me mad, then I tear up all my good pieces of art. xDD

^Linear perspective? That's my new project in art class. I'm doing an Alice in Wonderland theme since I love the fact that hardly anything makes sense in that world. XD Just something I made out of sheer boredom. It's my friend's pixelated self on Gaia Online. I basically gave her free avi art. XD

It's official, my scanner hates me. I have a perfectly good drawing that I just did and the scanner wasn't able to pick up the shading and colors completely (as did with my Iggy one). On top of that, it cut off the bottom just a bit so you can't really see her feet. ><;; For some reason, I'm just a tad iffy on this particular piece. Yes, it's Jin Ae again, but her coat's in a different version than the other which I'm starting to regret doing that. I also did some changes to her hair, now in a half ponytail, different bangs, and ribbons on her hair. And I think I made the shoulders a bit too broad and I kept getting a hard time with the hands. -_-; Why is it that I keep modifying appearances and details on my OCs? That's what I've been questioning myself so many times when it comes with my OCs. This time, I settled for just a pair of steel spiked fans for Jin Ae's innocence rather than that fan/kyoketsu shoge mix (it's somewhat subtle but still). I never seem to have a SOLID design to what they wear and it's feeling suckish right now. >>

I think I finally have a solid design with Jin Ae's appearance. (Spiked Breeze is the name of her fan innocence) >3< This is also my first successful comp art done in MS Paint. XD (P.S. I got the base of this pic from here: tokyolynn.deviantart.com/art/Floating-Base-100846175)

Okay. This one in particular really stretches the page quite a bit. Sorry. >< This is one of the submissions I'll be posting regularly in the D.Gray-Man fanclub (called BlackOrderFC) in Deviant Art. We're supposed to have these "missions" done with our OCs. This one was about her room and what it looks like. Again, it's Jin Ae with her night clothes. Waking up to a new day at Exorcist Headquarters. Her fans are neatly placed on top of her dresser like every night. She sees Sion holding her red ribbon (there's supposed to be two, I just remembered that >>) to help her start the day. My poor finger is hurting right now from constant clicking and sh*t but I got really good results as you can tell. :'D Again, this is done in MS Paint. I used [this] as a base for the pic. So credit for the base goes to metal-marty.

Again, I shall voice how amazed I am. I love your art, Ki. Your'e fantastic at the shading and different colors. If I ever make a picture I never color it because I suck. But, you're really fantastic at this. Could you give me leasons? I'm serious here. I suck at things on MS Paint, and my scanner doesn't work unless I go on my dad's laptop but then he can track what I'm doing with the pictures and stuff, so I'd really like to do stuff on this computer. A tip about the last picture would be to make sure that you erase all unnessisary lines. I'm like... Weird when it comes to pictures and spot the little things. You've got a few on the dresser, but everything else is fantastic. Sorry if I sound like a critic by bring up that little thing, but I want to help you get better and that's the only thing I can bring up 'cause it's so fantabulastic. Here's one I did with the same base that you used earlier;

Another Jin Ae pic! It's currently in progress but the whole drawing time only took me about an hour. I was kind of experimenting with different body angles and other stuff. I still need some work, but still good progress. I'm also experimenting with uploading a pic onto the computer and then use editing software to clean up and color it. So far, it's looking good for my first pic. And yes, the outline of the hair is thicker/bolder than the rest and some parts are kind of weird-looking, but I'm sure I'll fix it once I'm done. These are supposed to be Jin Ae's casual/training clothes since she's mostly seen wearing them in Headquarters from time to time. (Used Dollwizard for kind of a ref pic: www.dollwizard.com/userimages/f7f7d3070aa272f1be1b246ba96a779c.jpg) Again, this is still in progress. So I'll post the finish product once I'm done.
