Alexis sighed. It was a cold, rainy day out. What was worse was she had nowhere to go. She was flying right over the river, when it began to rain. Now, she was on one of the support beams to the bridge. Alexis slowly unfolded her wings, and looked at her reflection. Her brown wings were a big contrast to her pale skin. She was used to the sight, but anybody else must have thought it was weird. It wasn't everyday you see a kid with wings.
Even though she knew there were others exactly like her, she has never seen one. She quickly folded her wings back up, and wrapped her arms around her. Because she never saw someone like her, she thought she was a freak. Well, okay, she was a freak, but if she actually knew someone like her, she could probably handle it more. But she didn't know anyone else like her.

Fox sighed as the rain pelted him from above, causing his hair to sag in front of his eyes. He shook his head quickly, sending dozens of water droplets to the ground, causing more smal disturbances in the river which was next to him. He sighed, upset that he had thought he could out run the rain and do his daily running before it came. Maybe he should of woken up earlier. Fox smiled at this and though "Naa, to much of a hassle if i had" and started running quickly, the rain falling into his eyes every now and the causing him to falter slightly as he rubbed his eyes each time. After a short while, he saw the bridge he had been running to and smiled, happy that he might get out of the rain. He quickly ran under and shook quickly, sending water all over the place. He sighed, pulling at his drenched shirt as he sat down and with a jolt, smelt someone nearby. He instantly sat up and let a feral growl rip from his throat from instinct and growled, "Whose there?"
ooc- YAY, first to post with you! XD

OOC- Yay!
Alexis closed her eyes, as she sensed a lifeform heading her way. It was moving too fast to be a normal human, but it just felt different than an animal would. She tilted her head in confusion, not knowing exactly what the creature was. As quietly as she could, Alexis unfolded her wings, and got ready to take off in case of danger. Out of the corner of her eyes, she saw water hit one of the many support beams, followed by a loud, all to familiar snarl...
An eraser...
Alexis opened her eyes in shock, and covered her mouth, so she wouldn't scream. 'Are they after me?' she thought, getting closer to the edge of her support beam. After gathering her courage, she poked her head out, allowing the eraser to see her. 'He doesn't look familiar...' she said to herself, while she inspected the eraser.

Fox sighed, seeing only a girl about 2 or 3 years older then him, upset that the wind had changed and he wasnt able to smell her scent fully, determining if she was friend or foe. Well, guess he had to do it the old fashion way. He let a smile spill from his lips and said, "Hey, what are you doing outside in the rain?" he asked, sitting down and giving his head another shake, sending the remaining water from his hair onto the already damp ground.

Alexis just stared at him. 'How can he act so friendly when I'm obviously a bird kid...Maybe he doesn't know that...' she thought. Quickly yet silently, she folded her wings back up, so he wouldn't be able to tell that she was a bird kid. She moved to the other side of her support beam, facing him. She looked at the water, and shrugged. Alexis had no idea why she was in the rain. She just was. She tilted her head towards him, asking him the same thing with actions.

Fox chuckled, "The silent type huh? Well, i was out for a run and it DID look nice when i left but it started raining and here i am, under a bridge." Fox said looking around, taking a better look at the bridge and then moved his eyes back towards the girl. "So whats your name?" He asked, glancing once more to see the rain still dumping in torrents.

Alexis looked up at Fox, smiling a little bit. She would have to talk for this one... ''Alexis...'' she said calmly, keeping eye contact with the eraser infront of her. ''What's your name?'' Alexis hated questions she had to actually answer with her mouth. She didn't enjoy talking that much, and would rather nod her head then say a whole sentence.

Fox smiled, "Now we're getting somewhere!" He said and then replied, "My names Fox, its a pleasure to meet you." He glanced at the girl, taking in some notes. She seemed naturally pale, and her lack of talking seemed to go hand in hand with that. It was odd though how her back was a little tensed, but he waved it away, thinking it was connected with her being cold do to the rain

Alexis smiled a little bit. Which was weird, because she couldn't remember the last time she smiled...Probably when she first kicked an eraser, or when her first escape attempt almost worked...A faint sigh escaped from her lips. Sadly, those were the good old days. Back then, she had a place to sleep and even food. Alexis would, sadly, probably be better off back in the lab then by herself... She looked up at the eraser, taking in his appearance. Then, her stomach gave out a long growl. Alexis, wrapped her arms around her stomach, and looked away in embarrassment.

fox chuckled, "Sounds like you hungry. When was the last time you ate?" he asked, waving his arm in the general direction of her stomach. "Would you like to get something to eat? Because it sounds like you need it from the length of that growl." Fox said and smiled, "I havnt heard someone be so hungry in a loooong time."

Alexis nodded. ''Yes...please....'' She smiled in embarrassment. She couldn''t believe she, Alexis the loner, was going to get food from a complete stranger. At least she knew his name...Fox. That kind of sounded like an eraser name. Very wild....and cunning, just like the monster he was.

Fox nodded and stood up, looking outside to still see it was raining but not as hard. He looked back and jerked his head outside and said, "You ready for a run in the rain? Because the nearest food store is about 5 minutes running distance, for me anyways." He glanced outside and then once again looked back, "Oh, but what kinda food do you want?"

Alexis shrugged. ''.................I don't..........care.'' she said, still looking at the water. She looked up at Fox, and smiled...sort of. She didn't want to run, but she imagined the weird conversation they would have had.... 'I'd rather fly honestly' she would say, unfolding her wings... Happy Solution: He'd say he didn't care, and he was a nice eraser....or Not so Happy Solution: He'd try to rip her to pieces.

Fox rolled his eyes, "And now you started to stop talking again." he said and chuckled. He motioned with his hands and said, "Comeon, lets go." He glanced left and right and dashed up the small his leading to the sidewalk and stopped, glancing back, waiting for Alexis to follow.

Alexis scratched her arm, and then followed after Fox. The rain was nice and coll against her skin. It actually felt nice. A warm smiled spread onto her face. She stopped right next to Fox, and smiled, before looking down.

Fox smiled, "Good to see you smiling." He said and then turned, automatically hunching his shoulders against the rain as he walked towards the stores in the short distance, wondering which one he would go to. He turned to a convienence store and chuckled, siting down for a long period of time in one place never seemed to suite him. He walked into the store and shook himself dry, getting a small glare from the girl behind the counter and glanced back, waiting for Alexis to join him in the store

Alexis looked at the store which Fox walked into. With a sigh she walked in. Alexis never liked small places. They were a lot harder to get out of. And this one only had 2 windows and a door. Alexis shook herself a little, knowing they were probably going to go outside shortly. She looked at the girl behind the counter, and tried to give her a warm smile.

Fox waved his hand around the store and asked, "Get whatever you want and as much as you wont, dont be shy." He went straight for the back and picked out a coke, opening it and taking a swig while walking towards the cashier, grabbing a pack of beef jerky on the way and leaned on the counter, saying hi to the cashier and waited for Alexis to choose what she wanted as he chewed thoughtfully on the jerky.

Alexis nodded, and walked around. After 3 minutes, she came back with her arms filled with stuff. She had a big bag of doritos, some donuts, a huge bottle of sprite, 2 bags of gummy worms, a bag of tortilla chips, and a thing of salsa. She put it on the counter and smiled shyly. To an average person, that would look like a lot of food. But to a bird kid, it was the perfect amount.

Fox glanced down at all the food, a bit surprised about how much she bought, maybe she wants it for the long run. He crinkled his nose in suspicion, his thoughts straying to her being a bird kid and sniffed, getting hit full on by her bird smell, coupled with the human smell from her and the sales clerk. He kept his face in a smile, not wanting to react in front of an innocent person and pulled out his wallet. "That all?" He asked and then turned to the clerk, "how much will it be ma'am?"
