Dakota shifted her position to a lounging look, her eyes closed lazily as she swung her feet over the vast waters of the river as she sat on the top of the bridge. The wing played soft notes against the metal work of the platforms. It was soothing, the whistling sounds it could make against the frame of the brigde. Her wings were unfolded slightly, just so that she's in a relaxed position, the white sparkling against the bright blue sky, which was only speckled with a few clouds.
The lack of clouds made it rather windy, but it hadn't picked up yet, but she knew something was going to happen in the weather, and she'd probably have to find another place of shelter. Her mind was wandering around, trying to depict a certain thought of interest. Was it to be an Eraser or a bird-kid to find her. If an Eraser, which one? James? Tagg? Cain? Fox? Or a bird kid? Jehte or Bella, Ki or... She frowned. She had the problem of only knowing a few bird kids. She sighed. She couldn't fix that, she couldn't join a flock, because her taught insticts might kick in. She had to be careful. She waited, hoping it wouldn't be long.
ooc: Weird title, I know. Came on because it's like... Ehran left the Erasers, and Dakota's pretty much with the Erasers, so. Terrible post, I know. I'm searching, but my sad Japanese music isn't helping.

Ehran walked on the edge of the bridge, him arms outstretched for balance, the wind slightly ruffling his hair. The city he was in was very small, and oddly empty, so he had left his jacket's hood down, his feline ears up and twitching at every sound, and his tail swishing back and forth, for extra balance.
He was near the halfway point of the bridge when he saw her, a blond girl with wings sitting on the opposite side, her feet dangling off the bridge. Ehran stopped, his foot in mid-step, for a one moment. The girl looked like Mirla, but he hadn't seen her in so long.
He jumped down from the ledge, and walked over to her, keeping his footsteps silent. When he was a few feet away, and paused, uncertain who the girl was. "Mirla? Is that you?" he asked, keeping his voice level.

Dakota took another moment watching the water rushing below her, it was curling around the rocks like the wind through the branches of trees. Swirling and knocking a few things down, it was like you would die if you fell in. She knew subconsciously that it wasn't usually like this, but the wind altered the waters like a voo-doo doll was to alter a person. She hoped that at least an Eraser wouldn't come up behind her and shove her in. Her reflexes could fail her easily. She sighed, brushing her hair out of her face. Flying would be a real pain.
She heard a soft footstep from beside her, but she didn't turn. Let the person approach and take inventory. It was easy to make it seem as if someone was sneaking up on you. She felt little currents of the wind swirling around the person as they got closer to her. Her muscles were untensed, but though he reflexes sucked, she was rather good at changing her stance from offensive to defensive and excetera. She was lost on who it was, since the wind was blowing away any evidence that if the person was Eraser or Bird-Kid. Or some stupid human trying to commit suicide. It wouldn't surprise her. She heard the person speak, and suddenly felt a whirlwind of emotions coming through from the other person.
Dakota shook her head. Who the heck was Mirla? She didn't know her, but she glanced to the side and saw the person. She quickly took in who the heck the person was. Eraser? She couldn't be sure, and she was pretty those ears were cat ears. So... What would he be then. She tensed up, but she kept her voice calm as she responded. "I don't know who Mirla is," She said simply, one of her eye brows raising in a curious fashion. "But, I'll direct her in your direction if I see her," Dakota made a sign like she was picking up a phone. "Hello, I will now direct you to CatMan," She said, her voice trickling with sarcasm. That was here, naturally mean and sarcastic.

Ehran frowned, hiding his slight disappointment. "There's no reason for sarcasm, I just thought you were someone else." He said, keeping his voice even with a sharp edge underneath. He kept eye contact with her blue eyes, feeling a slight stab in his chest. She looks just like her. he thought, noticing the similarities between his girl and Mirla.
He walked over to the edge and sat down indian-style, picking up the small stones that lay on the bridge and tossed them down into the river, watching them make a small splash and creating ripples.
"Whats your name?" Ehran asked, turning to face the young girl sitting beside him. He noticed she was very thin and lanky, and he wondered if she was with a flock, or was getting enough to eat. "I'm Ehran."

She was beaten quite a bit when she returned to the whitecoat's lab without any of the bird kids she was assigned to hunt down and/or kill. That had been months ago. Even after that, she continued to fail them which became a complete surprise to the whitecoats. They couldn't just punish her too much for fear of having her bloodthirsty state released in front of them. They decided to give her a break and train her longer before putting her in the assignment once again for a few more months.
Reika decided to wander off from New York City (with approval from the whitecoats, of course) and unknowingly found herself near a river. She sat down next to the water and looked at her own reflection. Her cat ears were covered by her skull and crossbones (cat skull and fish bones style) and pink hoodie. Bits of her short blond hair poked out and framed her almost stoic face. She felt like she wasn't staring at herself. She doesn't think that bloodthirsty state of hers was herself as well. Who was she, anyway?
(ooc - Someone better notice her.... >>; lol)

Raine was stretching out her wings by a river when she heard the sound of someone walking. She quickly took flight above the person to see who it was. "Oh, it's only you." she said, the Reika while landing.

Dakota glanced sideways at the boy as he responded and smirked. Yes, the 'you look like someone I knew/know' thing. She wasn't quite sure who this Mirla person was, but she was way beyond really caring about whom she looked like. She could look like anybody from anybody elses' perspective. She hoped that she wasn't going to get this whole lecture on how she needed to be less sarcastic and what not. It was rather hilarious, not knowing that one person was taking sarcasm offensively, and another person just thinks it's a fun way to talk. She knew, from her extra sense, that whomever this person was, he really cared about whoever she looked like.
Dakota gave him a smirk, signature to herself, and looked back at the waters. She wasn't really concerned about him, now that he'd sat down and not automatically shut down. She would've noticed before he decided to attack. He heard his voice from beside her and smirked. "Dakota," She responded smoothly. She gave him a curious look. "Flock or Vigils?" She added, tilting her head curiously. That was really all she needed to know to be able to get past this little facade. Fight or peace? Friend or foe? That one question would answer it all.
She glanced down at the riverbed and saw two figures walking about. She narrowed her eyes, and tried to see if they were safe or not. She couldn't really tell, but she knew that something was wrong. And she knew that if this person, Ehran, was a Vigil she was more than screwed, she was dead. Dakota sighed to herself, and shifted herself, and waited for Ehran to respond to her question. Truth or dare. Was that what life had narrowed down too?

"Well... sort of both." Ehran said, with a sigh. "I used to be a Vigil, but now I'm with the flock, we call ourselves the Elite." He explained with a wink. It seemed like forever ago since he had joined the Flock, and he felt that they still didn't quite trust him yet.
He looked down to where the girl, 'Dakota' she said her name was, was looking. He saw Raine and Reika. "Great," he muttered.
Ehran got up to his feet, leaning back on one foot. "So who are you with? Are you friend or foe?" Ehran asked woth a wry smile, looking back at Dakota.

Dakota smirked as he mentioned the Elite flock. "That's the one with Jehte right?" She quiered, tilting her head to the side curiously. That was the only flock hse had known of. Was their more? She wasn't quite sure, but she hoped that she wouldn't be bombarded with too many questions about whatever it was. When Ehran winked at her, she smirked, flicking her hair out of her face. The Elites. Sounded like they were stuck up snobs from the name. Their so... Elite. She joked in her head. Wow, she really needed a laugh.
Dakota looked up at Ehran as he watched the people she spotted below. She saw a few emotions cross her face, and she didn't need to read his head to see that he recognized them as a foe. His simple question rang towards her, and she smirked. "I guess I'm a little of both, you could say. I was meant for the Eraser's side, but I'm with the Bird-Kids," She shrugged. "I don't have a flock of my own," She commented. She wasn't about to say that she was also kind-of-sort-of-maybe with Fox. She wasn't sure about that yet, but she was just a bit distracted. "Shall we go scout?" She asked curiously, her dangerous smirk slipping to her lips.

"Ladies first." Ehran said as his own smirk played across his lips, and gave an exaggerated bow. He still liked to cause trouble, and he was good at it. Heck, he was made for it. Well, turned might be a better word, since he wasn't born like the others, who already had their 'powers' even in the womb. His feline features were grafted onto his body, when he was just a wee little lad. Three, to be exact.
He peered over the edge, then took a few steps back, rethought it, and took a few more. He sprinted toward the edge, pushing his legs farther and leaped off the edge. His arms were spread wide, as if they were his own wings, and the went together for a dive, his body piercing the water. The saying that cats didn't like to swim apparently didn't apply to him, at least when he didn't want it to.
He broke the surface of the water, swimming against the current that wasn't to fast, but would send him down the river if he just floated along. "You coming or not?" Ehran called, waving up at Dakota.

Dakota cracked a smile, and then stood up as he did. As he launched himself into the air, she frowned. Yeah, she may be in need of the exhilaration that came from jumping off of a bridge, but she really wasn't in the mood to have her wings weighing her down. She watched him fall, moving smoothly through the air like he, too, could fly, and then disappearing into the waters like a sparrow into a tree. She smirked, and took a few steps back, spreading her wings wide and then tucking them in and diving.
It was quick, the wind against her face that mere humans thought could only be achieved by sticking your head out the window. The shoot of adrenaline that spiked her blood with it's lethal poison, the feeling that many people only felt once in a while. The fresh air that came quickly into your nostrils, yet you know if you took a breath, you'd crash against the waters. She spun around, opening her wings as she was sideways, and then slowly finished the turn, and stopped above the waters and hovered above him. "I'd rather not get wet," She replied simply, her voice sounding very yes indeed. "Let's get to shore."

"Fine with me." Ehran said, starting to swim towards the shore, his arms cutting swiftly through the river water, propelling his body through the water. He dragged himself up onto the river bank, shaking the water out of his hair and wringing his tail dry.
He crouched down and walked over behind some bushes, a few feet from Raine and Reika. "So, when should we pounce?" Ehran asked, a grin splitting his face.

Dakota smiled faintly to herself. Her mind was wandering around as they got to the river's edge. She pretty much coasted on the winds their, and as Ehran pulled himself out of the water and shook himself, she couldn't help but give a little laugh. She didn't know why, but lately she'd been feeling more upbeat. She was a bit scared by this fact, but she knew that it'd go away eventually. It always did. She crouched into the reeds with Ehran, an evil smile on her face, which she didn't really count towards a smile, but more of a smirk. Dakota never smiled much, at least when she was around other people. She didn't laugh a whole bunch either, so it was like she was never happy. She wasn't most of her life.
She shook her head to clear it, and instantly went into attack mode. She, unfortunately, loved a good fight, and if she were to ever join a flock, it would be pretty much impossible for them to stay hidden, because she was rather careless when it came to who was following her. She used to contemplate if this was what the Whitecoats had made her for, to have a natural born urge to fight Erasers, and be a bit careless at times? That would definately lead her towards being on thier side, like they wanted. Maybe she had left because that was what they needed her to be. Gone and work on it themselves. They probably were in touch with this branch of the Labs.
She gave Ehran a lopsided smirk, tilting her head and listening. She could tell from a few of the emotions going through the most recent one that she had thought the other person had been a threat to her, and she was just calming down. The other person, the one whom she first saw, seemed to be more... Cautious, like they had to be careful or the Whitecoats would try to get rid of her. Dakota smirked to herself, her thoughts racing about how the Eraser was probably assigned to capture a Bird-Kid. We're here now, so come get us, She said in her thoughts, and nodded to Ehran. "Pounce, before they get us first," She replied easily, and jumped out of the bushes, her face completely void of emotions. "Hello thar," Dakota said, her voice smooth. "How're yah?" Her voice was rather think with her accent today, but that was all fun and good.

Dakota smirked as she felt Ehran's presence beside her. She'd never really fought side-by-side with someone before, and so she realized that this would be an interesting happening. She could tell from what she was hearing, a bit beyond what most people would and could hear, he was trying hard not to burst out laughing because he found out she's a Southern Bell. Not really, but you know what I mean. Dakota gave him a charming smirk, and turned her attention back to the Erasers. She really needed to get a hold of her thoughts, she was worse than the people she made fun of. She heard the Eraser speak, and she smirked. She could tell their was an obvious dislike between the two, but she couldn't place it. "Nice weather."

Dakota smirked. She was obviously missing a big piece of information, but this was a pretty cool matter to be of talking to. She gave a sly smile. "You should try down South, dog pounds have people like Redd keeping yah in. He's a rather viscious one," She tawnged, bobbing her head slightly. Yeah, she knew about these things. An advantage? Not really, but one must learn to deal with one's problems, yes?
