Ahhh, New York, The Big Apple (even though there were no big apples, except for the ones on a stick covered with nuts and chocolate). Curlew walked down a crowded side walk eating a large bag of honey roasted peanuts glazed with salt. She wore her blonde hair loose that day, her red scarf kept it tucked around her neck. Snug in the crook of her elbow was a large cup of coffee, hazel nut flavored. For Curlew, this was a regular breakfast/morning. No one recognized no one came at her with furry hands and claws; no one pointed a gun at her face yet. None of these regular humans seemed to mind her being near them; they didn't look back at her. Curlew wondered how oblivious people were to what was going on right under there noses. Or they were incredible actors/actresses.

Jehte was walking briskly along, a hot chocolate tucked into her gloved hands, heading down the busy street. She glanced up and her gaze fell on the newest member of the flock, Curlew. She had a coffee in her hand, of course. Jehte didn't know when she had even seen the girl without one, or not talking about one. The wind bit at her nose and cheeks but she ignored it, bouncing over to greet Curlew. "Hey!" She said, smiling, "What are you up to?" Jehte, herself, was trying to decide what the heck she was going to do for Thanksgiving. They had to do SOMETHING, but they didn't exactly have an oven, or a turkey. Heck, they didn't even have a place to stay! "You haven't run into any of our furry little friends yet, have you?" She questioned, referring to the erasers. She took a sip of her hot chocolate, making a face as it burned her mouth.

Kiyunalia rubbed her hands together as she sat down on a bench about to eat her breakfast. Since it's New York, there's many street food vendors in nearly every block of the huge city that are sold very cheaply. She ended up getting six hot dogs, three donuts, two bags of flaming hot cheetos, some crackers (for Dusk and Moon), and a big cup of hot chocolate. It's nearing winter and the typical bird kid has to consume even more calories at this time of year due to its cold weather. It was already complicated enough to find any food that could meet the bird kid's daily calorie intake on a normal basis.
As soon as she started eating her last bag of cheetos, Kiyunalia got up in her long overcoat and started walking through the streets. The black overcoat was a bit too long for Kiyunalia to prefer since it's full-length, but it covers most of her body and keeps her warm, so not much problem there. She bought it from a donation shelter for only $7 with her stolen credit card along with knitted gloves and winter boots for a total of only $15.
Kiyunalia saw Curlew and Jehte amongst the crowd of passerbys on the sidewalk and smiled. "Hey, you two." she greeted them, "How you guys' doing?"

Curlew took a long drag of coffee from her cup, the warm liquid made her cheeks feel odd compared with the cold November's air. She had stopped and turned towards Jehte, reconigzing her voice easily among the crowd of shouting people. She grinned back at her, "'Mornin' Jehte!" Curlew saluted. "I'm doing absolutely nothing. Just enjoying the nice cold. Eating peanuts. Drinking coffee, hazel nut flavored, too," she noted, sniffing a little. With the sleeve of her velvet coat, a coat that someone had left behind at the park, she wiped at her frozen cheeks. "Naw, haven't seen any of our 'furry friends,'" she laughed. "What about you?"
"Oh!" Curlew gasped in surprise as Kiyunalia suddenly showed up. Was everybody in New York City? It was a good hiding place, you could blend in a lot better if you didn't have your wings unflured. "Hi Ki!" she called, "I'm alright, how have you been?"

"A bit greatful that I'm not spending the cold weather in just my skirt and thin clothing." Kiyunalia replied, eating her cheetos and drinking the hot chocolate, "Though I could never seem to like this weather much....except if I'm in a very cozy home with a fireplace drinking hot chocolate and wrapped in blankets 80% of the time...which, unfortunately, will never happen in this horrid life."
She noticed that her attitude's a bit bitter than usual, only to shrug it off as a mood thing that seems to be common among normal humans during the months of less or even no sun seen up on the sky.

Curlew winced at her negativity. But, who wouldn't want to be in a nice house drinking tons of melted chocolate/coffee?"I guess your right. What I'd like is a big turkey for Thanksgiving. With stuffing, lots of stuffing." Even though Curlew didn't have much to be thankful for, besides still being here alive, she still celebrated Thanksgiving like any other regular family out there.

"Don't we all, Ki?" Jehte asked good heartedly, slapping the other girl on the back. She tossed her empty foam cup into the nearest trash can, bouncing it off the wall before making it in. "Two points!" She crowed, raising her arms in mock victory. "Anyways, I'm sure we'll be able to figure out something to do on thanksgiving day! Fortunately for us, in New York we have a little thing called restaurants and loaded credit cards." She beamed at the thought. "I'm sure we could find a way into one of the warm restaurants and order hot chocolate and turkey." She swooped down and picked up a discarded scarf that someone must have dropped. She wrapped it around her neck and turned slightly, admiring her reflection in the store window.

"I think we could find a nice abandoned place to stay and celebrate Thanksgiving in. We'll just buy a sh*tload of stuff and cook them in a bonfire." Kiyunalia suggested, "Or we could try and get in a very nice restaurant if they don't mind having a few ragged-down teens eating half of the entire food in the restaurant."
She finished the last of her cheetos and hot chocolate and threw them right at the trash can. Kiyunalia rubbed her arms for more warmth, "You guys want to go somewhere that's toasty warm now? I hate getting the risk of frostbite."

Curlew could picture a nice steaming turkey, filled with stuffing on a silver oval-shaped dish in the middle of an oak table. Every single bird kid could be sitting at the table, all happy and stuff. It would be total mood change, and probably the pressure of being what they were could be lifted off there shoulders, at least for a day or two. Maybe, the erasers and the bird kids could get along, too, and then maybe the sun‘ll blow up like every scientist believes. Hmph, maybe. "We could all go shopping and get some brand new clothes! I got a cred' card that I took from some person, so we could use that. And then we could go to a store -Wal-Mart?- and buy, like, five turkeys! Or maybe six...." Curlew took a deep breath and thought for a couple of seconds. "Naw, seven. And we could take the seventh one and have out own bonfire like Ki said. We could have a ritual for the turkey... and blow it up." She grinned at the image of a turkey exploding.
Curlew dug into her pockets and pulled out a gold credit card and waved it in front of there faces, "Endless amounts of money. Or at least, that's what it looks like. How could such a tiny card but the whole world? I'll never know. But, anyway, we could go shopping, it's warm in there. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't mind a couple of homeless buggers - such as ourselves - trudging through their store. Probably...."

"So you two want to eitehr go shopping or eating, eh?" Jehte asked, an eyebrow raised. Personally, she wanted nothing more than to get into a fight with Fox and Tagg, but she didn't say so. That might seem just a little TOO blood thirsty. "I'm sure we could arrange for both to happen, seeing that tomorrow is thanksgiving. What do you guys think? First we could hijack the mall, then the food court! Heck yes!" She wrapped her scarf even tighter around her neck as a biting wind blew through the square, her eyes wattering slightly. She knew that if the entire flock didn't find a permanent warm place to stay for a few months, that one of them would most likely get seriously sick and perhaps die.
ooc- Okay, new good idea! Who wants to get sick this winter?

Fox walked down the street of the big apple giving a few glances around as he walked down the street. It was odd being back in the place where he was born in such a long time. He missed the bustle but because of his hieghtend emotions all the sound hurt now. He continued his walk with 5 turkeys slung on his back and all the ingredients he need for the thanksgiving dinner he wanted to have that night. He had found a nice place in the park to crash and cook the turkey's for his own sort of anniversary for being a eraser for about a year. As he was wrapped in his own thought he sneezed and wiped his nose self consiciously noting that he needed to by something to stop his cold. As he wiped it he bumped into Jehte and begon apologizing until he saw who it was and grinned/growled "Jehte! What you doing in the big apple?" He looked past her and saw Curlew and Ki, "Hey you two. Seems like your settling in just fin Curlew." He said and smiled
ooc- ill do it! i guess
