Dakota sat calmly on the twisted metal frame of the air conditioning vents. Her feet swung gently and her blonde hair was blown softly around her shoulders and into her face. The sun was just beginning to rise, and the sun made the sky glow with the bright pastel colors. Her breath came in small little puffs of cloud, bt she didn't pay mind. Her thoughts were on a different subject, and her hands touched her side absently.
Fox.
He hadn't left her thoughts since she woke up in the School. She had the feeling he had been the one to take her there, to defy his own pride and take an enemy to help. Why he did she was uncertain, but she had a small feeling that she'd never had before flutter up in her head as it happened. She frowned, tucking her hair behind her ear as she continued to think. She hadn't seen him since then, and what had happened to him she couldn't say either. Was he alive, dead, or moved away for some unknown reason. These were the thoughts occupying her head. She couldn't think straight, and trying to get anything had been nearly impossible. She had lost her first real battle to Fox and she couldn't really say anymore if she really had or if it was just a dream.
She knew that if it was just a dream, then it was more of a nightmare. She hadn't been able to fight as well as she used too. She couldn't concentrate on tactics, or at least finding the emotions in others. Her talent for the time being had left her, since she could do anything without her thoughts straying back to the one thing that had shut her down completely. If only he'd just... Show up. Just to show that it wasn't just some stupid dream she had, that she couldn't escape from. She sighed, looking over the great expanse, waiting. It would only come with time.

The moment the sun had completely setted, Fox had rushed over to the Lab and begged them to revive her, finally convincing them that if they did, he would grudgingly come back. He had always hated to admit it but he was one of there best made erasers ever, and they didn't want to lose him, so in the end they agreed to reviving her.
Fox had breathed out a sigh of relief when he heard this and had watched the operation, anxiety shooting through him for some unknown reason, which he knew where caused by Dakota. When they were finally done, he was told to go back out and start hunting for bird kids again and was forcibly ejected from the lab without him being able to check on Dakota
Fox walked down the streets, hands thrusted into his pockets, kicking a rock up the side walk, watching it jitter hear and there because of its odd angles. Fox gave a sigh, it had been over two days and he had started to believe that the feelings that he had felt would leave, but one thought about Dakota sent a warm feeling into that quickly spread around his body, leaving him always with a sensation he had never felt until the day he had fought her.
Once again, fox sighed, his breath-crystals coming out in a slight puff despite the slightly warm air. He continued walking, not noticing where he was going until her tripped over a fire-hydrant and finally notice where he was.
He was at the allocated rooftop where he and Dakota had fought.
Fox felt a feeling pass through him and instinct told him to go up the stairs, right then. So he did. Fox walked up the stairs, ignoring the stares of people as he walked into a condemned building, and finally opened the rooftop, to find a lone figure sitting on a ventilation shaft.
Fox slowly walked up to the figure and tapped her shoulder, and watched as the figure, no she, turned around. A smile crossed his face when he realized it was Dakota, once again, sending a warm feeling into his heart. "Why hello the Dakota. Hows it been." Fox said, continuing smiling
ooc- OMG! I THOUGHT YESTERDAYS WAS AMAZING! I CANT BELIEVE I TYPED ALL THAT!

Dakota sighed, looking out over the brightening landscape. The suns rays finally started making a difference but it didn't seem to change the temperature that had creeped in Dakota's heart. Why would they bring her back, if they were ust looking to kill the bird-kids? She tilted her head back, her eyes closed against the pink sky. She heard the familliar sounds from below. Cars starting, people talking, a few loud coffee makers from some kitchens across the way. She'd been staying her at the roof for a while, and she was okay with the fact that she'd memorized the location. It was kind of a place where she could call 'home'.
She opened her eyes as she heard an unknown sound from below. Someone tripping, most likely. She tried to shake it off, but she couldn't leave the feeling that someone was coming up here. She tried to peer forward off the edge from where she was at, but she couldn't see directly over the edge of the building. She took a deep breath, and then let it out, her eyes blinking closed again. There was more sounds from below, and the unmistakable sound of footsteps on stairs, but she ignored it. She wasn't going to get worked up over nothing. She heard the door to the roof open, and she smirked. It was probably another hobo. They strayed up here far to often for her liking.
She felt a tap on her shoulder, and she turned, ready to tell the homeless hobo to buzz off when she noticed who it was. She froze. It hadn't been a dream, and she narrowed her eyes, but a little unexpected feeling fluttered up in her chest, but she shook it off. She gave a crooked smile as he spoke, and gave a slight laugh. "As usual," She nodded, turning back to the rising sun. It was here where she first fought Fox, but she had the feeling that he wasn't in the mood to attack her today. She lent back a little bit, letting the sun's minimal heat of the beginning of the day warm her. At least she knew it wasn't a halluciantion.
Something threw her off about Fox, though. He was smiling. Why he was smiling, she didn't know, and particulary didn't really care. But it threw her off a slight bit, knowing that some emotion was going on inside Fox and she couldn't place it. She glanced back at him, still smiling like an idiot. "You want something?" She quieried, tilting her head to one side in a curious fashion. She frowned as she realized something she hadn't before. She had smiled at him... Once... Before she died. She shuddered, as if from cold. She knew the feeling now, and she wasn't about to face it. It was the worst emotion in the books, even worse for herself. But, strangely, she was okay with it. She smirked once more, and turned back to the sun. Whether Fox would join her or not was his choice, but she was going to be more cautious now that she knew what was going on.
ooc: HOLY CRAP FOX, I THINK WE HIT MUSE. I'm serious, I think this is longer than my best post. >_>

Fox had chuckled at the look Dakota had given him when she had turned, and then chuckled again when she froze before being able to form the words and her eyes narrowed and answered his question turning back towards the sun, leaning back slightly as if she was allowing the sun to warm her as much as possible.
Fox realized he had had a huge idiotic grin on his face and quickly whipped it off. When she asked him her question he shrugged, "Nope," he answered, "Just wanted to come back up here and see if the rain yesterday had washed off the blood." Fox unconsciously clenched and un-clenched the hand Dakota had grabbed before she had died, looking quickly over the roof, noting a single drop of blood her and there, but no more.
Fox heaved a sigh, and sat down next to Dakota, brushing her as he sat, the single touch sending a odd shiver across his body, though he hoped he had covered. Fox yawned and leaned back on his forearms, doing the same as Dakota, trying to be warmed by the sun. He turned slightly to her and saw a conflict of thoughts on her face and he turned towards her, a question forming on his lips, "May I bother you and ask what happened when you woke up? The ejected me from the lab and I've been worr- and i just wanted to see if you were OK." He said, looking at her, trying to catch a reaction.
ooc- I totally agree, i have never written this much before!

Dakota heard Fox sigh and she smirked. Her thoughts instantly going to the fact that he was going to leave. She repositioned herself, and felt cool skin against hers. She took in a sharp breath, glancing sideways at him without turning her head. She had noticed a small shudder in him, and she was curious why. Too bad she wasn't a mind reader. Dakota glanced over the expanse of concrete, and smiled. The blood was gone, she already knew. She had sat out in the rain and watched it drain away, like a lost memory. Now she knew that that part wasn't just a dream either.
She saw Fox lean back in the same position that she had, and she repositioned herself to be in a different posture. She didn't like it when people copied her, it jsut bugged her. She tucked her blonde hair behind her ear, her eyes closing in thought and concentration. She felt Fox's eyes one her as the questions started to swirl in her head, getting mumbled and jumbled. She tried to clear it, but it was hard to clear something that you could depict. There were emotions coming from herself, doubled by Fox, and a few people with very strong emotions down on the street. She couldn't pick out which, but she managed to stay on her own emotions. Just then Fox started to speak, and it broke her from her own head's turmoil.
Dakota laughed lightly, the sound clearer than on the last time she'd seen Fox. But then again, last time she'd laughed around Fox was when she died. She glanced at him, and smirked, but she wasn't enjoying herself enough to give off a real smile. She never did. "When I woke up, I was in a white room, with bright lights. They did a few tests then let me leave," She shrugged. "I'm not an Eraser. They couldn't put me in like... Solitary confinement or anything," She smirked. "I heard that when you guys die, you're put on probation," She laughed lightly, eyes closing. The sky was already a light blue in some places, and she watched it with fasination. Just then, she caught a note of sympathy in his head, and his voice, and smirked. "Were you worried Fox?" She asked incrediously, frowning. "I can take care of myself," She finished, grudgingly, folding her arms.

Fox watched closely as Dakota looked over the roof, also surveying the "battle field". He waited patiently for his answers and watched as she repositioned herself, a flash of agitation flashing across her face for a reason he didn't know why. he shrugged it off and opted to ask her about it later.
Fox smiled as Dakota laughed, liking it compared to the one she did before she died, and she sent him a trade mark Dakota smirk before answering. He nodded in agreement to what she said, "I thought so. I just wasn't so sure what they would do after you woke up." he replied, "And your right, once this eraser i know, Tagg, was killed by me and was sentenced to solitary confinement for two weeks though i broke her out and gave her a place to stay. But, that didn't work out and we were eventually caught." He said. He made a tch sound when she asked if he had been worried, "Of course not. And suuure you can take care of yourself, i bet you meant to die then?" He asked, smirking at her

Dakota growled at him, her eyes narrowing. She didn't like the fact that he was bring it up again. She only needed to be reminded once, and twice was more than enough. The fact that the whole thing came from her dreams every night, she was reminded more often than she wanted. "I never mean to do anything, things happen," She frowned, her eyes closing and she put her hands in her lap. "Things come up, and you can't prevent them."

Fox scooted over to the side, her growl and glare sending shivers down his spine, and that didn't happen easily. Fox raised his hands in defeat and slowly put them down as she finished talking, her face darkened by the sun, causing him not to be able to pick up her emotions from her face. "True," Fox replied, "What happens is always written in stone." Fox said, the quote may be messed up, but he was positive he had heard it somewhere before and smiled, he didn't do nothing all day.

Dakota smirked faintly. "I don't believe in destiny, or fate, or coincidence. Everything happens for a reason, so you may as well get used to it." She frowned, turning towards him as that she could see him. "But, I do get where you're going at."

Dakota smiled, knowing she had hit yet another confusion nerve. "There used to be a me that thought that life was like a story book, and they'd always have a happy ending," Her expression turned to one of almost pain, and her eyes grew distant. "I learned that their are some stories without happy endings, and that book on the shelf is the life of Dakota," She frowned, eyes closed. "You can keep believing your fairytales, though, I wouldn't mind."

Dakota sighed, shaking her head and blinking, as if dizzy or tired. "I... Don't think I want to talk about it," She curled her knees to her chest, resting her chin on them. She closed her eyes, sighing. "It's a long story. You wouldn't have the time."

Dakota sighed, swallowing. She'd never explained to anybody about her history. Her past. The thing preventing her from ever moving on from this frozen age. Why she didn't love, why she didn't make friends, why she didn't join a flock. Why she was so different. She opened her eyes slowly, as if tired, looking suddenly beyond the age of sixteen. You could tell she was far back, though she had only been away from Tennesee for three years, it seemed like a decade. She clentched her fists. "You wouldn't understand, even if I did tell you," She frowned, trying to clear her mind. "Why would you want to know anyways?" She acused, eyes narrowing.
ooc: I had another idea too from the LONG break from the computer. I'll send it too you in a PM.

Fox watched as she closed her eyes and put her hand in her head. After a while she slowly opened her eyes as if tired and radiated pain and knowledge much more than a 16 year old girl should now. Fox frowned, shaking from the feeling and watched as she got the far-away look in her eyes again. Fox frowned when she said he wouldn't understand and started to say something before she shot at him "Why would you want to know anyways?" glaring at him accusingly. Fox looked at her and said slowly, "Because...sometimes....talking helps."

Dakota frowned. Talking could help in some situations, but she doubted that she could ever recount the fridged past of her own life. "You go first," She said quickly. "We'll each tell a little bit about ourselves back and forth, okay?" She'd done this before with people, and it worked well. "Okay?"
