Dakota glanced at him, slightly worried by his change in emotions. He leant forward, and hugged her, and her muscles tensed inadvertantly. She really hadn't been hugged in a while, and it was a little awkward to her. She heard him say a word of 'thanks' and she pulled away when he started rocking. "Sorry, it's just... Can we take it step by step. I'm... I trust you, I just... Don't trust myself," She said softly, biting her lip. She really hoped she didn't' just ruin it. She took his hand, and smiled faintly.
ooc: You can only expect so much from DJ. xD

Dakota glanced at him, and laughed lightly to herself, shaking her head. She sighed, content, and looked up at the rising sun. "I can't believe after all those years, I had forgotten that emotion. It used to be so clear. It's ridiculous."

Fox snorted and laughed, "I on the other hand have a viable reason. I had no idea that there even WAS a feeling like this!" He said, chuckling.

Dakota looked serious, and if one didn't know better, you'd think we was going to school you. "Most people don't. I once felt like this, and bad things happened. But," She shrugged. "That person didn't care about me too, and for all i know, you could be faking. I'm going to try and stay positive though," She smirked and tilted her head to the side. "And try to make this work, without screwing up majorly." She added, laughing lightly.

Fox rolled his eyes and muttered "yes mam." He said and then looked at her and laughed, "if i didnt like you, then why would i go through all the trouble to revive you if i didnt? And trust me, you wont screw up."

Dakota smrirked. "Right. Well. I dunno," She shrugged, glancing at him curiously. "This isn't some major plot to kill me, is it?" She asked, looking with a slight note of skepticness in her voice.
ooc: You're not leaving forever are you? I read the c-box. IF YOU LEAVE I'LL HAVE NOTHING TO DO. ;-; *Sob.*

Dakota gave him a small glance, her eyes sparkling with a newfound curiousity. Was this the guy that she wanted the see around, or was he going to disappear like the rest of her life from the edge of the earth. That's how life is, you can't have too much good luck, but sometimes you can wonder how we're going to go about this. Would it be possible to win a losing game? She didn't know, life was confusing. She couldn't tell herself that she'd see the way one day, and then ever see that glimmer of hope ever again.
Her heart fluttered a bit as he spoke. She wanted to assure him, tell him that she believed him, but her throat closed around itself, and she really couldn't speak. Was she going to be able to move beyond what the past had brought her, the dark cape that had sown itself onto her shoulders, giving her a different outlook on life. She was an outcast, but coming into contact with another species was dangerous. It meant that if she ever wanted to join a flock, she'd most likely be rejected. But, looking at Fox, she couldn't tell what to do.
Why is life such a cruel game? It's like a childrens' game, one that everybody thinks is easy. You wake up, survive, go back to bed. But, their's the dice that you have to throw onto the table, and you don't know if you get the hobos roll or the snake eyes. The dice were the chances, like this one, that come by once in a while. You can't predict when something like this will come up again, especially for someone like Dakota. She was more than ready, but she was never open to anymore relationships. Why, why did we have to decide that life was going to jump off the deep end, declare itself there?
Yet, here it was, facing her as if it was going to slap her. She smiled faintly, and the walls were crumbling down. They didn't make a sound, she just needed to... Before she knew what was happening, she felt something cool against her lips, and realized with a shock that she had just kissed him. She didn't pull back, it was kind of like a delayed response. She wasn't really scared of that, just... It was sudden. It was weird for her to be so open to these kinds of things, yet her she was. Everything that was on her mind at the moment disappeared. The moment was all that mattered.

Fox watched as she glanced up, curiosity sparking in her eyes, and he heard a slight increase in her heart beats as she glanced at him, indecision crossing her face for a few seconds, as if she was thinking something over. Fox waited patiently, as Dakota eyes glazed over before the snapped back into attention, a new look in her eyes. Fox smiled at this as she gave him a half smile and before he knew it, she leaned towards him and kissed him, not pulling back as he would have thought she would have done, and not sure what to do, he leaned in closer and kissed her back, holding the pose for a few more seconds before pulling back and taking a breath, a smile playing his lips. "Wow," He whispered, and looked up at Dakota, waiting for her response
ooc- sorry, all i got XD

Dakota stiffled a little gasp of surprise as he pressed his lips against hers, and the little kiss lasted for a few more seconds before she pulled away, as did he. She heard him mutter something, but her mind was whizzing far too fast for her to understand what he had said. 'That was... Interesting', one of her thoughts said in an undertone, while the other one screamed 'run while you still can!' She shook her head, and tried to smile, but her emotions were to out of whack to give a real response.
She stood, brushing off her jeans, and walked around on the roof. "I guess... We're... On different terms," She said softly, folding her hands behind her back. She unfolded her wings, the thought of running away suddenly trying to take over. "I... I'll get back... To you I guess... I... Don't know," She stuttered, shaking her head. Confusion, she knew how deadly it could be, and she was having trouble protecting herself from it.
ooc: I have an idea, if'n you want to hear it. Glad you're back. XD

Fox sat their, his mind in turmoil, trying to digest what just happened and he glanced up as Dakota walked around in circles on the roof and responded, "yeah, you do that." He glanced at her quickly before reverting his eyes back to the ground. What had just happened there? He questioned himself. One second they were talking the next kissing. His emotions kept contridicting one another. One second telling him to tackle her from eraser insticts, the other saying that it was a interesting twist to the conversation.
ooc-glad im back too, and go ahead, let me hear it

Dakota shook her head. Her emotions were battling. Her head was saying to attack, something the Whitecoats had driven in her head since a small child, but her heart was saying she was a bird-kid who would probably not have another chance like this. Head was saying kill Fox now so she could join a flock, heart was saying that she didn't have to join a group, because being herself was being in a small clan, not a pack or flock. But she couldn't choose, she had terrible times controlling her emotions, a downside of being able to read and mess with others.
Dakota unfolded her wings to one of flight, and she stepped away him. "L-later..." She said softly, and turned away. She wanted to stay, but her head was winning, and she had to run before something bad happened... Again. Bad things happened when she started liking somebody, and she wasn't going to let someone ruin her life again, especially another Eraser. Why she was so drawn to people that weren't of her species, she couldn't be quite sure, but she knew already that it had a negative side effect, soemtimes a permanent one, and she took a few steps and launched into the air, with no intention on turning back.
